SFD resumes 35 cash-for-work and water projects
SFD branches have resumed lately the implementation of 25 cash-for-work and water projects While most local and international development projects have stopped due to the critical financial and security challenges. The projects are funded by the Islamic Bank for Development and KfW. Other 10 water projects funded by the Dutch Government and an education training program were also resumed to respond to the increasing needs of the poor amidst deteriorating humanitarian conditions. The projects benefited 12 districts within 6 Governorates. The projects use the locally available building materials and labor. Most of the projects focus on building water facilities, agricultural terraces and roads in the districts of Khayran Almuharaq (Hajjah), Habor Dholaimah (Amran), Haydan (Sa'ada) Shara'ab Alrawnah and Mawza (Taiz), Hazm Al-Udain, Fara Al-Udain, Al-Qafr and yarim (Ibb) and Kamaran, Al-Qanawis and Bait Al-Faqih (Al-Hudaidah).
